2 Week Parallel Parent Guided Tour

This optional tour is perfect for parents who want to experience the beauty of Namibia while their teen is on the youth adventure.

One week after the kids leave, you’ll fly to Namibia and enjoy a comfortable, guided lodge-based trip.

In the final week, you’ll join part of the same route as your child’s group, sharing a few special moments together. It’s a great way to reconnect before flying home together.

1. Flights & Travel

Do the teens fly together?
There is an optional group flight from Frankfurt. Teens booked on this flight travel together with our chaperone. If parents choose a different flight, teens must fly independently, and the Wildfoot team will personally meet them on arrival in Namibia.

What if my child flies on a different flight?
A Wildfoot guide will meet your child at Hosea Kutako International Airport, assist with luggage, and bring them safely to the group.

What documents does my child need?
In accordance with Namibian entry laws for minors:
• Passport with at least 6 months validity
• Certified unabridged birth certificate (showing both parents)
• Signed parental consent letter from both parents/guardians
• Copies of both parents’ passports
• If only one parent signs, proof of sole custody must be included
• If flying alone: airline unaccompanied minor paperwork (if applicable)
Proof of travel insurance (medical + evacuation coverage)

2. Supervision & Safety

How are teens supervised?
Teens are supervised 24/7 by certified Namibian guides, trained instructors, camp staff, and our European chaperone.

Is Namibia safe?
Yes. Namibia is one of Africa’s safest destinations. All accommodations, routes, and activities are pre-vetted for safety.

How will parents receive updates?
Parents receive daily WhatsApp updates including messages, photos, and location information.

3. Accommodation & Food

Where do the teens sleep?
Mostly in shared tents, with several nights spent in hotel or lodge rooms.

Is camping safe?
Yes. Campsites are secure, supervised, and guides stay onsite throughout the night.

What food is provided?

4. Program & Activities

What is the Mini Ranger Course?
A hands-on week at ISAP where teens learn wildlife tracking, ecology, bush survival, cooking on the fire, environmental leadership and first aid. They also learn traditional skills from the San (Bushmen) and receive a Mini Ranger Certificate.

Do they interact with local communities?
